About Us

Founder of WoolseyAV - Andrew Paul Woolsey

WoolseyAV was founded by Andrew Paul Woolsey, a multi-disciplinary audio-visual engineer and music producer whose journey began in music performance and evolved into a full-service AV and production brand serving clients across the U.S.

Andrew’s career started with classical piano studies at Southeastern Louisiana University, before transferring to Baton Rouge Community College, where he studied under jazz legend Charles Brooks. He earned his Associate of Applied Science in Entertainment Technologies in 2014. During that same period, he founded 225MidCityRecords, a local label that spotlighted independent talent and gained regional airplay on Baton Rouge’s 91.1 KLSU and New Orleans’ 92.3 The ALT.

As a recording artist, Andrew operates under the moniker Adolescent Currency—a project under which he has independently produced and released four solo albums, including the 2016 live album Live. He also functions as the genre-blending alter ego WoolseyBaby, and in 2025, released the album In My Life along with tracks like "On My Soul," "Trying," "Rest In Peace," and "Obstacles ft. Flodelis." Additionally, he has a 2025 release titled "Notices" credited to his full name. Andrew also contributed as a keyboardist and songwriter for the indie-pop band RiaRosa through 2017.

Beyond the studio, Andrew has built an extensive career in live sound and AV integration, supporting over 250 artists and clients ranging from grassroots acts to major brands and institutions. His resume includes technical work with top names like Kid Rock, Frenship, Yoke Lore, Lauv, Travis Scott, and events like the Buku Music + Art Project and Frenchmen Festival.

From 2015 to present, he has worked with AV companies such as Boston Audio Rentals, AV Lancer, Pro Sound, CTS Audio, Premiere Sound Services, New England Audio, Quest Audio, and Link Integration Group. He has served in roles including traveling audio technician, lighting technician, visual systems specialist, and studio engineer.

For Studio Mixes please visit [https://www.woolseyav.com/mixing-mastering] Please be as specific as possible regarding the scope, deadline, company, artist, track, & date.
QuestionAnswer
What is the difference between mixing and mastering?Mixing is the process of blending all individual recorded tracks (vocals, instruments, drums, etc.) into a cohesive stereo or multi-channel track, ensuring balance, clarity, and sonic depth. Mastering is the final step, where the finished mix is optimized for commercial release—adjusting overall loudness, EQ, compression, and sequencing for consistent playback across all platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, CD, Vinyl, etc.).
What file formats do you accept for mixing? We prefer uncompressed, high-resolution files (WAV or AIFF) at the original session sample rate and bit depth (e.g., 24-bit, 44.1kHz or higher). Please provide tracks as raw, dry files with no added effects or processing, unless that effect is integral to the sound.
What is your typical turnaround time?Turnaround time varies based on the current workload and the project's complexity (e.g., single song vs. full album). Standard mixing turnaround is typically [3-5] business days per song. Mastering is usually faster, around [1-2] business days per track. Rush services may be available for an additional fee.
Do you offer revisions?Yes, client satisfaction is paramount. Our standard service includes [3] rounds of revisions after the initial mix or master delivery. Any further revisions may be subject to an additional hourly fee.
QuestionAnswer
What kinds of live events do you support? We provide full-service AV support for a wide range of live and hybrid events, including corporate meetings, conferences, concerts, worship services, town halls, and theatrical productions.
What services are included in your streaming AV package? Our streaming packages are customizable and can include multi-camera video switching, professional audio mixing (Front-of-House and separate broadcast mix), lighting design, graphics integration (lower-thirds, titles), stream encoding, and secure delivery to platforms like YouTube, Facebook Live, Zoom, or private CDN.
Do you provide the necessary AV equipment?Yes. We own and operate a full inventory of professional, high-end audio, video, lighting, and staging equipment. Our quotes are typically inclusive of all necessary gear, setup, operation, and teardown.
Can you manage a hybrid event (in-person and virtual)?Absolutely. Hybrid events are a specialty. We ensure seamless integration between the live venue experience and the digital audience, providing dedicated technical teams for each component to guarantee a high-quality experience for all attendees.
QuestionAnswer
What payment methods do you accept? We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers (ACH/Wire), and Primarily use Venmo.
When is payment due?For Mixing & Mastering, a [100%] deposit is typically required to book the session and begin work, with the remaining balance due upon final delivery. For Live AV events, a non-refundable retainer is required to secure the date, with the final payment due [2 Weeks] before the event.
What is your cancellation policy for live events? Please refer to the specific terms outlined in your service contract. Generally, retainer fees are non-refundable. Cancellations made within [7 days] of the event date may be subject to a cancellation fee based on incurred costs and lost booking opportunity.
